With over 7,000 years of fascinating history, traditional culture and magnificent landscapes, Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates – promises an authentic and accessible Arabian experience. It´s the haven of year-round sunshine, Ras Al Khaimah features a rich backdrop of spectacular landscapes, ranging from pristine beaches, lush mangrove treesand undulating terracotta desert, to fertile, green oases and the dramatic, awe-inspiring vistas of the majestic Hajar mountains.

Ras Al Khaimah is more than a destination; it’s an experience of a lifetime, according to a pressrelease about this a bit unknown destination.

Over the last few years, Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority unveiled three invigorating eco-friendly adventure-based projects on Jebel Jais, UAE’s highest mountain – positioning Ras Al Khaimah as the nature adventure hub of the Middle East and complementing the offering of the neighbouring Emirates. These include the Arabian Gulf’s first commercial Jebel Jais Via Ferrata (iron path) which features hiking and zipline challenges; Jebel Jais Viewing Deck Park that features seven viewing decks to help you soak in stunning 360-degree vistas of the spectacular Hajar Mountains; and Jebel Jais Flight: The World’s Longest Zipline which was launched over a year ago.

Feel the Emirate’s beating heart with a myriad of landscapes that promise nothing short of rewarding experiences and adventures to all visitors. Follow the curves of a 64-kilometre unspoiled, sandy coastline for blissful relaxation, watersports, family and luxury beach resorts, and waterfront golf. Glide along mesmerising waters on a kayaking adventure through lush mangrove trees with their hidden cache of bird and marine life. Wrap yourself in the wilderness on a desert safari tackling huge dunes, unique camel and horse-back riding experiences, and outdoor camping on mountains and deserts. Explore incredible sights on adrenaline-packed hiking, trekking, cycling and ziplining adventures across the craggy ravines of Jebel Jais, which rises to just short of 2,000 metres above sea level.

Much of Ras Al Khaimah’s found popularity comes from the increasing ease with which the Emirate can be reached. By road, Ras Al Khaimah is a mere 45 minutes from Dubai International Airport. Additionally the climate is 4 degrees cooler in summer time, and 10 degrees cooler on the mountains.

Find a home away from home with a wide choice of accommodation – from ultra-luxurious beach resorts managed by some of the most notable names in the business, to family-friendly city and beach resorts, and city centre properties and resorts for the more laid-back visitors – Ras Al Khaimah is known to offer its guests the best in hospitality. With over 6,700 keys currently available in Ras Al Khaimah, the Emirate features world-class hotels and resorts including properties such as Waldorf Astoria, Hilton, Rixos, Rotana, Ritz-Carlton and many others. The destination is expected to offer more than 12,000 keys by 2021, with new hotel brands confirmed for the pipeline including Conrad, Intercontinental, Radisson, Movenpick and Marriott.

It’s this diversity – of landscape and offering – which has led to a surge in the Emirate’s recent visitor levels. Ras Al Khaimah now receives record guest numbers from the domestic and overseas markets and record occupancy and length-of-stay – making it the region’s fastest-growing tourism destination and an attractive proposition for investors.
