Called ‘Forty Winks’ the new area will have seven sleep pods in the old business centre area of the First Lounge.
A BA spokesperson said that the Sleep Pods would come with ‘a full concierge service’ with hot towels and a wake-up drink for those using the service. There would also be information for those in the lounge showing when pods became free.
For the majority of lounges that will not have the new Pods, BA is planning on having a ‘digital solution’ which will have mindfulness content and sleep support information.
