One of the most luxurious hotels in Bermuda has reopened – and it’s better than ever.

After opening its doors on April 1, Rosewood Bermuda has raised the bar for luxury hotels once again on the North Atlantic island.

The hotel, which first opened in 2009, has just reemerged after a $25 million (£17.75m) renovation. Its 92 guestroom and suites have been reimagined by the world-renowned design firm Dawson Design Associates. They now feature a contemporary decor with immaculate furnishings, soft colour combinations, and plush fabrics.

The rest of the hotel has been updated to reflect the island’s beautiful and relaxed island vibe. London-based designer Alexander Waterworth Interiors Ltd. has reinvigorated the popular Beach Club, where casual al-fresco dining and stunning ocean views are on offer.

There is a new restaurant, called Sur Mer, where fresh local seafood dishes are served, inspired by the Provençal region of France, along with classic bistro dishes such as Cassoulet and Duck Confit.

A stylish bar, pool and chic cabanas are new additions to the resort.

The clubhouse of the resort’s 18-hole Tucker’s Point Golf Club has also been brought up to date by Alexander Waterworth Interiors Ltd.

Most impressive of all, however, is the new-and-improved Sense Spa. You can indulge in a number of glorious new treatments, unwind and reinvigorate on the inviting new yoga and Tai Chi lawn, or work up a sweat at the well-equipped fitness centre.

While these changes are no doubts improvements that were needed, one thing remains the same at the resort: the spa’s idyllic reflection pool.
