Cape Town’s towering Ritz Hotel has reopened following an extensive renovation, revealing a chic new interior and a new tasting menu.
Long one of the city’s most iconic properties, the Ritz, situated in the midst of Cape Town’s Atlantic Seaboard, has been somewhat underwhelming of late. This is because once you step inside the magnificent building, a quite drab and outdated interior was there to meet you. But this has now changed – for the better.
Now, complementing its prime location and spectacular 360-degree views over the city, the Ritz has been brought up to date thanks to the complete facelift it has been through over the last two years.
The hotel’s revolving restaurant, Top of the Ritz, located high up in the building, is also benefitting from a new fine-dining tasting menu. It utilises plenty of local ingredients, imaginative dishes, and wonderful wines from nearby regions.
Great views can also be enjoyed from the hotel’s 213 rooms, where you’ll be treated to either mountain or sea views. Rooms also boast sleek new interiors, posh bedding, mirrored walls, and quilted couches.
Additionally, guests can make the most of on-site facilities such as a pool, bar and the more casual restaurant, Casa.
