At Brussels Airlines, you can now experience the essence of a “boutique hotel” at 35.000 feet.

In recent years, the Belgian airline has worked intensively to create the optimal travel experience for business class travellers, and to provide them with the most genuine Belgian experience. The choice of interior, hospitality, and culinary experiences play a vital role in this. To provide passengers with the best possible travel experience, the airline has invested a staggering 10 million euro in each of its Airbus A330. They claim that the new cabin product will recreate a ”boutique hotel” feeling when it comes to the service and personal touch distinctive to these types of hotels.

Brussels Airlines have created an outstanding website that describes the product in-depth, which we highly recommend our viewers to visit.

The choice of premium quality in materials is particularly important in business class. In this context, wood and leather are two key words for Brussels Airlines’ choice of materials. According to the airline, the unique dome lighting of the ceiling features an elegant Art Nouveau design. The advanced lighting system in the cabin continuously adjusts to the destination time, which helps travellers to better manage jet lag. However, it is not only the interior that is new, Brussels Airlines teams up with Belgian Star Chef to regularly provide new and exciting high-quality dishes on its long-haul flights.

Have a look at some of the culinary highlights served onboard here. The self-service bar in the aircraft offers a varying choice of 8 famous Belgian beers to passengers. Additionally, the airline has introduced numerous exciting Belgian wines, coffee and, in particular, high-quality chocolate from the notable Belgian chocolatier, Neuhaus. There are only 30 seats in a 1 – 2 – 1 seat configuration in the Business Class cabin, which provides passengers with great privacy in every seat. All seats can be fully reclined and converted into a 2-meter long fully flat bed, with adjustable mattress softness. Passengers can enjoy the entertainment system on a 15,6″ high-resolution display with noise-cancelling headphones.

Business Class travellers can indulge in an upgraded culinary experience. International wines and Laurent Perrier Champagne from Brussels Airlines’ award-winning wine cellar, selected by the wine expert Fiona Morrison. The 4-course gastronomic meals are created by Belgian Michelin Star Chef. Whereby, Tim Boury from the Michel star Restaurant Boury is responsible for the gastronomic selection onboard in 2020. For the first time, Brussels Airlines introduced a so- called ”Belgian walk-up” onboard, which is located at the back of the business class cabin. This where you can find, among many other things, the beer varieties mentioned above. We highly recommend our readers to visit one of their wonderful lounges before departure. The Loft, which is located in Terminal A or The Suite in Terminal B at Brussels airport are two of our very own favourites.
