The development of new business class products is never-ending. More and more travelers want comfort on their journey, and airlines are responding as great quality premium products are seeing the light of day.

We have looked at some of the exciting products that will appear during 2019. At first glance, the seats seem quite different, but under the shell, they are quite similar. Most of the seats look forward, while some, such as with British Airways, every other seat is placed forward and backward. Others offer business class seats in a fishbone pattern where all passengers always have access, such as with Air New Zealand and Virgin Atlantic. Here are some of the business class seats you can experience in 2019:

Virgin Atlantic
In late summer, Virgin Atlantic’s first Airbus A350-1000 will be put into service. At the same time, their new business class product will be introduced, where privacy on board will be improved, thanks to the new seats. The layout is 4 seats in width, in 1-2-1 configuration, but now the so-called fishbone pattern is gone and the seats are now directed towards the windows. The seat has a door construction that can be closed, no more than halfway, but the result is far more privacy than before.

Turkish Airlines
As Turkish Airlines is about to launch its first Airbus A350s and Boeing 787 Dreamliners in traffic, they also introduce a new business class product. The new product has far more privacy than before since the seat layout is 1-2-1. The seat design also creates far more privacy than before. All business class passengers also get direct access to one of the aisles. Unfortunately, the existing Turkish Airlines aircraft will not be upgraded with those new products, so it may be a good idea to check and choose wisely which aircraft you will be traveling with.

British Airways
The new club suite has direct access to one of the aircraft’s two aisles. The setup is 1-2-1. With your own door, privacy is secured. According to British Airways, the new seats offer 40 percent more storage space, an 18.5 inch entertainment screen is in place, as well as wifi and USB / power outlets. The plane itself, the Airbus A350 offers low noise levels, good height under the roof, large windows and an advanced mood light system that adapts to the time of day and the light outside. The A350 also has an advanced air system on board that makes you less exhausted on longer trips. Cabin pressure is equivalent to about 1,800 meters, rather than the typical 2,600 meters. Humidity is also higher.
